7th April 2012

Hello!
Another week gone already! I hope you have days off from work for Easter adventures!
I took Mam on a day out to London on Tuesday, we had a marvellous time! We started off with a trip along the Thames on a boat, we got off at Canary Wharf as the boat got shakey and Mam started going a little bit green, I didn't want a reenactment of ferry trip to France so decided to get off! We went to Portobello road, I don't know why me and you have never ventured down there it was amazing! All sorts of treasure shops! I was looking for a chest to use as a coffee table, I found some but couldn't get them home so maybe I'll have to go back! We found another hummingbird bakery and brought cakes before heading off to Covent Garden. We wondered around there for a while and then went to a nice Italian in Leicester square for tea. The Waiter was Italian and kept calling me Miss. Mam laughed at this a lot. Our last part of the adventure was to see dreamboats and petticoats. You would've loved it, they all had amazing swing dresses and continuously sang 60s songs!
Work hasn't been too bad, mainly because I had Tuesday and Friday off. I've been shortlisted for a place at uni next year, I have to have an interview and that! I'm very pleased! I feel as though I may actually have an idea of what I'm doing for once! This is all good, but Ive worked out I need to save about £10,000. By January! (I've brought a lottery ticket!)
I met up with Christine on Thursday, we went for Nandos and whilst I was there I saw Becky, with her husband (still makes me laugh- imagine us being wives, we'd be so bad at it) anyway, she's cut her dreads off and now has short hair, I almost didn't recognise her. Anyway Nandos was, as usual, immense, I didn't steal anything though!
I saw Tasha on Friday, she's still got a mega bad back but we had coffee and tea and chatted for a while. I gave her the cake mixer to give back. I am heartbroken.
I've been out on the bike. When you come back we have to go for a walk near mine, there's a park with random sheets of metal dotted about and you can pick them up and look underneath for creatures. I saw a shrew and a snake.

Dads been having arguments with the gypsies because these have rocked up in our field. Along with about 10 horses and a Shetland Pony. Personally, I like them, A lot.
We're having Easter lunch at Mams tomorrow. I think it's going to be another Christmas dinner, I'm hoping for crackers!
Durham has Snow.
There's a hosepipe ban.
Titanic had been re-released in 3D. Had you been here, this would've definitely have been cause for a halfway meet.
Lots and lots of love,
Happy Easter

30TH March 2012

So it's come to this, it's like Hawaii all over again, but more severe, I'm worried that without the sensibility of Nicks accompaniment, you may never return. The chance of me ever owning a ticket to New Zealand is looking ever slimmer and thus, the chance of me seeing you, this year at all, is an unlikely and therefore an upsetting prospect. I feel that the only way to get through this is to keep you up to date on literally everything.

Hows the job going? I hope you're enjoying it a little bit and earning lots of money for adventures. Its the last day of the working year, this I think is tax related and therefore you probably know nothing about it! Anyway it is, and this was meant to be the beginning of two fundamentally terrible work related issues. 1) the staff team in my house at work is to be reduced to only 1 person I get on with well, and 2) that I should begin working shifts again, and weekends, not ideal by anyones standards, especially mine. I was not made to work weekends, nor do I beleive at being at work at either 7am or 10pm. Anyway, turns out, although 1 happened, which I think is probably not too bad, 2 is not going to happen after all and as a result I can stay working 9-5 Monday to Friday and have some kind of life without having to do things such as have Thursdays off and do nothing but midweek lonesome drinking.

More importantly, Its the twinnys birthday. I am currently at the farm with Mam, who's over excited (as expected) waiting for Comedy Dor and gang to arrive. We're having Indian for tea. I say this but infact we're all having indian apart from the three who don't like it and are having Chinese, Matts who's having a kebab, in keeping with his teenage boy health kick, and Dad, who of course will not eat anything foreign and has a plate of precooked roast dinner awaiting the fate of the microwave. How I grew up to be actually sane is still beyond me. I'm taking Mam to London on Tuesday for her birthday, we're going to the zoo! Obviously I'll be dragging her around urban outfitters and I've planned an elevensis stop at the Hummingbird Bakery. She'll love it!

It's been really hot here this week, like burning hot, obviously I got ridiculously burnt and now have an unattractive imprint of a vest on my back. Class! There's also been a ridiculous petrol rush on as people heard about a strike that may happen at some point in the future and, as a result, have gone mental buying petrol when they clearly don't need it, theres big old ques everywhere, I plan to get the bike out.

Life in general is not too bad, although the last few weeks I've missed you terribly, It's horrible not being able to ring you when I am going mental and not sure what in the world is going on, (it got bad, I cried at a cup of tea advert last week) or when I need to discuss important things with you, such as seeing dwarfs. (Matt saw the ugly dwarf from Seven Dwarfs doing the sports relief run, sadly I missed this sight and can only imagine the excitement it would've cvaused me). Anyway, due to my great idea to write to you on here, there are certain things that I won't be mentioning, this can wait till I work out how to phone you, I tried twice this evening as Mam wanted to say Hello but it wouldn't connect. Anyway, generally, I think things are good, very good, slightly confussing and a little bit weird, with a few bits and pieces that I could do without but in general I'm going to say splendid. I figured I'll link this to you on facebook, that way you can read it by clicking on the original link, also, after a while nobody will read it other than you so it won't matter what is or isnt included!

Still no postcard? I'm suspecting it's been held by Arabs.
